1. Who we are

Firefun is an event and place discovery service that also enables organizers to publish events and offer tickets. In this policy, “Firefun”, “we”, “our”, and “us” refer to the operator of the Firefun website and applications.

2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, and account role.
• Organizer and event information: organizer profiles, venue details, event listings, images, ticket settings, and moderation records submitted to Firefun.
• Orders and tickets: purchases, reservations, ticket ownership, transfers, refunds, and transaction references. Payment providers process payment credentials; Firefun does not need to store complete card details.
• Location: an approximate or precise location when you choose location-based discovery or grant device permission. You can instead select a location manually.
• Activity and technical data: favorites, searches, interactions, device and browser information, IP address, logs, diagnostics, and security events.
• Connected-service data: information authorized through services such as Facebook or Instagram, including professional account, Page, post, media, and event details permitted by the relevant platform and your authorization.
• Public-source information: event and venue details made public by organizers, venues, ticketing providers, calendars, websites, and professional social-media accounts.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide discovery, maps, calendars, organizer tools, ticketing, and support;
• personalize results using the location and preferences you provide;
• process orders, deliver tickets, administer refunds, and prevent fraud;
• verify, normalize, deduplicate, and display event and venue information;
• moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service;
• monitor reliability, diagnose faults, and protect Firefun and its users; and
• comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal grounds and your choices

Depending on the context, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, for legitimate interests such as operating and securing Firefun, or to meet legal obligations. You may withhold optional information, disable device location, revoke a connected service, or request deletion, although some features may then be unavailable.

5. When we share information

We share information only where needed with:

• organizers and attendees where necessary to operate an event, ticket, transfer, or refund;
• service providers supporting hosting, authentication, storage, diagnostics, notifications, maps, communications, and payments, including Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Paynow;
• Facebook, Instagram, or another connected service at your direction;
• professional advisers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when legally required;
• a successor if Firefun is involved in a merger, financing, or sale; and
• other parties when you ask us to share information or give consent.

We do not sell personal information.

6. Facebook and Instagram data

Firefun uses Meta platform data only to provide the features described to you, such as connecting an authorized professional account or obtaining permitted public business, Page, post, media, and event information. We do not use Meta data to make unrelated advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers. Access is limited to the permissions granted by Meta and the account holder.

You can remove Firefun from your Facebook or Instagram connected-app settings. You can also follow our data deletion instructions.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information only while it is needed for the purposes above. Account and connected-service information is normally retained while the account or connection is active. Transaction and moderation records may be kept longer where required for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, tax, safety, or legal compliance. Backups expire on their normal rotation. We may retain statistics that no longer identify an individual.

8. Security and international processing

We use access controls, encrypted connections, managed cloud infrastructure, and other reasonable safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their contractual and legal protections.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, restriction, objection, or deletion of personal information, and may withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. See Data Deletion or contact us at the address above.

10. Children

Firefun is not directed to children under 13. Users below the age required to consent to data processing in their country should use Firefun only with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child provided personal information improperly, contact us.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Firefun changes. The current version and its effective date will remain published on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email where appropriate.
